CBR Industries uses advanced CAD/CAM software to create accurate part geometry and efficient machine tool motion. CBR Inc.'s Design Department has over 15 years of experience in part and fixture design. Our designers have the "hands on" knowledge to predict possible issues before they occur. This hands on experience also allows us to suggest possible cost saving ideas for part design. CBR Inc. uses the latest technologies to provide the highest level of quality in each of their capabilities and services. All of our equipment meets or exceeds the industry standards for accuracy and product quality. Along with our quality assurance departments trained in all aspects of precision measuring to insure the highest level of quality time after time.

We have the ability to receive and work with Solidworks and SurfCam drawings. We are also fully capable of receiving other source software's such as Pro/E, and converting them over to DWG or DXF files to be used on the production floor. This process of file conversion to our SmartCAM Freeform Machining software allows our machine operators to program any of their CNC machining centers correctly and quickly to produce even the most elaborate parts in the shortest possible time.

Our working knowledge of both Military and Federal specifications, as well as "GD&T" geometric dimensioning and tolerance standards and practices allows us to get even the toughest jobs out the door quickly and correctly.

CAM SoftwareMaster Cam X4 Mill Level 3 W Solids and Lathe
Master CAM InformationMastercam X4 offers Dynamic Mill, which introduces a new 2D High Speed Toolpath. This gives you the ability to utilize the entire flute length of the cutting tool while maintaining more consistent cutting conditions. This technique saves cutting time while reducing wear on your tooling and machines.

Dynamic Mill also offers:

  • "Micro lift" retracts that avoid excess heat buildup
  • Powerful entry methods, including a custom entry method to program complex shapes
  • Custom feeds and speeds to enhance productivity and generate safe motion
  • Flexible retract options to keep the tool down in smaller parts and supports rapid retracts on larger parts

Superior 3D Finish using Mastercam's 3D surface toolpath refinement lets you achieve dramatically superior finishes on complex parts. This new utility gives you greater control over the toolpath finish motion, delivering smoother finishes and more optimized cycle times than conventional methods allow.

Multiaxis Improvements

  • Drill 5-axis and Curve 5-axis dialogs are tree-style, stepping programmers through programming choices
  • Circle Mill 5-axis is a new multiaxis toolpath. This toolpath creates circular pockets normal to a surface for inserting fasteners and similar features. It can also generate round holes where drilling is not desirable.
  • The new Minimum Tilt option lets you control tool motion when the tool or holder encounters a potential collision with a selected surface.

A highlight of Mastercam X4 is multi-threading. This gives you the power to segment complex tasks in a multi-core computer, delivering faster processing as well as letting users continue to work while toolpaths are processed in the background.

More Powerful Feature-Based Machining (FBM) - Mastercam adds more automation to its FBM suite with large hole milling, automated pre-drilling, hole mapping and slug cutting. Dynamic Planes - Mastercam's new Dynamic Plane creation streamlines and simplifies all plane creation with easy click-and-drag tools.

Macro Capability BenefitsMacro capability allows programming of a family of parts with minimal user intervention. Using variables to define a part makes programming of subsequent parts a matter of entering the changed dimensions, all geometry and machine code are up dated automatically.
